This INIT sits and watches for when you plug the charger into your PowerBook — it will disable the PowerBook’s power-saving idle mode when you do.
BEWARE
The Power Manager cannot distringuish between a charger that’s connected to a live outlet, and a charger that isn't. Therefore, when you plug a charger into your PowerBook, Insomnia will disable idle mode no matter what. If the charger is plugged into a dead outlet, or into no outlet at all, your battery will discharge faster.
Nerd Stuff:
There is one known problem with Insomnia. In circumstances that I have not been able to reproduce reliably, the presence of Insomnia will cause the first app launched after the Finder (File Sharing, something in the Startup Items folder, whatever) to crash in GetWTitle+$E.
I have included the source to Insomnia. I will send the first person who can tell me why this crash happens a nifty MacUser "I Beat The System" T-Shirt.
